SE of Madison around 6:30 just after the first cell went through. I’m not 100% certain if this was from today’s cell or an earlier storm as there was a notable lack of water on the road.

Garden variety precursor showers already had a ton of lightning.  Ready 2 get rocked by the main line in the next hour.

I'm mostly focused on the rain aspect. We're at 5.82" for the month and it looks like we'll get some really good training. If winds end up strong, I could see some trees coming down based off of how wet the ground is.

Line is starting move ESE it looks like on radar so you might just get the tail end

McHenry missed that storm.....but I didn't. We were driving back home from Kentucky (funeral) and experienced it parked on 31 after a powerline was snapped ahead of us. I was legit scared.

A minute of slightly larger than pea-sized pingers in DeKalb at the tail end of the line.

Tornado sirens here.  Whatever it is, the circulation passed over, maybe a hair south of me.  QLCS protrusion. Got a brief 60 mph gust.  Just heavy rain and a few peas now.

Kind of reminds me of the tornado that crossed I-96 near Weberville on Aug 24, 2023.  The bowing line segment swallowed a supercell that had formed out ahead, and it immediately produced a tornado.

I was just awaken by another good cell at the front end of the LLJ convection.  We got some small hail, wind, and very heavy rain, but nothing severe.

Chased the tornado warning here locally, it tried to produce one, had a very brief funnel cloud just outside of reading but in the time to open my camera app it petered out in between lightning strikes.
