Already 63,000 here in mass without power.

-Sn in MHT.  Looks like maybe 1/4-1/2” at best on the colder surfaces.  Vis only dropped to 1 mi at the airport last night.  Models might not have been sharp enough with the northern edge up this way, even with the late trends yesterday. 
 

That band looks insane down there.  Hopefully it can rot for awhile and we get some prolific totals.

Subsidence: sinking motion of atmosphere between heavy bands

Dry Slot: Dry air aloft

House shaking wind right now. Kind of impossible to tell how much snow has fallen. Just an incredible storm for this area. Power is still on, but the gennie is ready if needed (I hope I get to use it)

Yup. It’s a yardstick at the end type of storm. I mean you can’t even clear in those conditions because it fills in.

Took my dog out at 330ish. Luckily the contractor doing snow removal had just come so walkway was clean enough. They were out several times overnight. They have since stopped.

Yeah it’s not a dryslot in the traditional sense. But this was around the time models had the E MA dynamics stealing the show from WNE although there will still be some banding there.

Yeah,  I don't see the heavy stuff expanding much further away from where it is now.
