I hate being "that guy" but I have a flight with my 2 kids Monday noon out of BOS ... should I wait for model wiggle before looking at changes, or is this event looking locked?  Please share any opinions.  Thanks in advance from a respectful longtime lurker and enthusiast.

My point isn't that it will miss just because earlier episodes of blocking did not result in a big coastal, rather my response to Tony was meant to illustrate that a decaying NAO block does not necessarily  have to result in a major coastal. I don't like the position of the ridge in the plains.

I personally would not change plans this far out unless you have plenty of leeway to do so.

No but you do get more leeway in latter Feb with changing wavelengths and the usual indices no longer hitting the way they would in Dec through early Feb.
