I’d go with same as Columbia. I feel pretty confident that anyone measuring properly on a snowboard in our areas tomorrow will have >=6” of combined snow and sleet. Snow DEPTH could stay under that if things break poorly but probably will exceed.

Are there any common household items that make a good snowboard?

White painted plywood is ideal. For this storm where all surfaces will be equally cold, a patio table would work. Especially if it isn’t blocked by your house.

Wondering if this storm is going to ultimately have the lowest tracking/posting to snowfall ratio ever.

No. I don’t think we get there with this one. But the amount of whining over us actually getting *snow is something else.

I don’t know what to say. It’s going to be a glacier on Monday.  It’s not like we are interior Maine climo. We mix. It happens a LOT.

If we were staring at a 8-15” snowfall a few days ago and it morphed into a rainstorm 96 hours later, sure I’d get the gnashing of teeth.  But this is going to be a high impact event of snow/sleet/freezing rain with temps in the teens/20s.

We don’t get these events around here for a reason - we’re not interior New England lol

You've been here more than long enough to know how things go down.

Got my pre storm errands done but forgot to pick up bird seed. Argh.

PS. if you’re in and around DC, highly recommend yellow for lunch. The bbq lamb pita was fookin ridiculous.

I just topped my Birdfy feeder but have an extra bag — feel free to stop by to take it
