I’ll probably cackle like a crazy person if I end up with 4-5 inches in Baltimore because that’s been the max I can get out of any system the past 10 years.

The thing that’s truly saving my mental sanity is the cold air behind this system. I like that it’ll look wintry and shiny for several days. That’s about all I got right now.

Bruh you just know it's coming, lol But yes at least will truly be a deep winter atmosphere this week!

Man, idk Y'all believe the models today if you want. Fact is snow in Nashville usually means snow in Richmond. A changeover to sleet or freezing rain at night? Man, I dont buy it dude. Ive lived 3 decades in Virginia. I've seent the models get it wrong too many times the same day. I don't know all the model science. But I know it's a deep cold out there. I know snow at night here overperforms and snow in daytime underperforms. Just my experience. We'll see tonight and tomorrow.

Watching a little bit of the funeral service for the great Ricjard Smallwood. I'm assuming not many here would know him, lol, put he was a monumental figure in gospel music. He is someone who combined classical music and gospel together create a truly unique style in worship that resonates with so many.

Rest in Glory, Richard Smallwood.

Only scientific reasoning behind my statement is radar obs.. this feels like a major qpf bust incoming. Any moisture that makes it close just dries up entirely.

Well, it WILL take a bit to get the moisture down to the ground layer. It is pretty dry in the lower column.

What i sent to friends just now FWIW

Final Columbia area forecast. 5-9” of snow, 1-3” of sleet, light freezing rain or drizzle at the end. Highly recommend shoveling first around 9-10am tomorrow so the second round is manageable. It’s going to compact down into a ~7” deep glacier.

For Harford County I said 6-10” snow and 1-2” sleet

Thanks, will share with my dad :).  Kinda wish I was hanging with him in Columbia, keeping him company (first winter without my mom). But he does have a sn...snleet removal service, and I took him a huge bucket of sand. I am also happy to see a decent winter storm here in Harford.

how the fuck do you lose socks from the basket to the washer to the dryer. where the fuck do they go. sorry   carry on

I took apart the drain filter on my washer last year and it was disgusting. I had about 8 kids socks in there clogging it up and making it smell. Seems like a design flaw.

The big design flaw was the hatch to get to the filter is on the back. Ugh.

I really hope the schools don’t close for more than a day over this. Two at the most. Hopefully they don’t inconvenience everyone if it’s just too cold in the mornings this week for school.

I just got hit with my second $900 energy bill, and that was AFTER I took pretty significant steps to curb it. Two zone gas system, and I just upgraded zone 1 for more efficiency. The gas side of the bill was $465 averaging $14/day. When we first moved in 7 years ago, it was $270 total energy MAX, gas and kwh.

I'm not sure what else to do to get it lower, because nothing actually seems to work.

People wont have to worry about an electric bill when their power is out for over a week. lol
