I'm a Sox fan (see location). I think it's a pretty good haul for a guy that's probably not gonna be around for any possible winning window. Fein has a good chance of getting into the t100 very soon, and the others guys are really good high upside plays. Rosario and Fitz-Gerald (yes with a hyphen) had a ton of helium before they got injured this year, with Rosario likely out for all of 2027 because of TJ. Don't know about the last two guys.

that's good to hear - at some point it would be nice to get out of this rebuild phase, although I suppose with the new GM, he's gonna have a couple seasons to do some work

Can't believe we have to do another day of model watching all day tomorrow. Then radar hallucinations and short range cliff jumping on Saturday.

the young ones need an event like this under their belt.  We've all lived through many iterations of this.

Beyond the Soto trade a lot of y’all’s old pieces left for nothing or immediately turned into pumpkins (Strasburg, Corbin, Rendon). The Scherzer trade was good in principle but the prospects that came back busted big time. And the draft/IFA classes have been whiff after whiff. The new gm was actually our old director of scouting I believe, he should be able to improve drafting and IFAs a lot.

You that visceral reaction you get when you accidentally hard scrape a fork 2-3 inches across a nice dinner plate? I keep getting that reading the storm thread. There's a handful of posters who need to get the fork outta here and stfu.

Especially with a storm of this magnitude. So many "i guess I'll accept my 6 inches" posts. How would they like it if every 6 hrs I posted yay 14 inches incoming. They wouldn't. As someone that has to drive in this storm no matter what im here to gain as much information as possible about it. I want to make it home to my kids at the end of the day. Sifting through the garbage literally takes me hours. I wish the thread was more heavily moderated. People need to be 7 day muted or whatever the punishment is here. That way I can read the play by play.. read some great insight from red taggers and save myself so much time.

ah yeah that's right - he came from Boston.  They obviously needed to shake things up.  I still think fundamentally the problem is the Lerners, but hopefully we can make some progress.

I honestly don’t know what sucks more. The fact that we never get snow, or that the next time we do a meet up, we have to do it at a place that serves soft drinks so bncho can go.

Absolute betrayal. :devilsmiley:

I think it trends better. This air mass is way different from what we normally deal with. There is a shit ton of cold coming. And I think a lot of us will get blitzed.

Man isn't that the truth. This is pretty much a long track and other than Jan 2016, long tracks have a special way of reminding all of us how hard it is to nail things beyond 48-72 hours. Nearly all bigger storms have complicated synoptics and stream interaction. Models in agreement at 96+ hours doesn't mean nearly as much as it looks like at the time it happens. I never marry a solution or make definitive calls beyond 2-3 days out anymore. Learned that lesson way too many times over the years lol

It hasn't really come up yet in the main thread but the radar hole / virga watching is going to be painful on Saturday night.

Congrats! I did my lifetime alcohol consumption between 16 and 21. Lucky I'm still here. I have no issues with folks drinking (long as they stay away from the wheel after), I just don't want to chance going down that road, so I made the decision to not drink again.
