I liked the map 40/70 posted and wouldn't really have any different numbers to suggest except to say there is potential here for up to 20-25 inch local amounts in central MA to n/c CT. That 18z GFS evolution looks promising and you have to wonder if there is any room for further intensification of the coastal on that sort of arc near the NJ coast past LI and near the islands off Cape Cod. If so this would start to approach Blizzard criteria. With that frigid air mass in place as storm approaches, it will take a long time for any taint to approach New England at any point and I could picture that being more of an issue in PA-NJ then pulled back into the circulation as the coastal absorbs the primary. And it looks like the pattern is far from being done too. Good times !!

Confirms widespread +1 foot with QPF ranging from 1.1-1.4 across all of MA, CT, and RI. 

South Shore looks to be the jackpot.

That is a crazy good solution for most of SNE. Prob widespread 12-18” with a few higher lollis

there's probably going to be some OES enhancement into Essex/Suffolk/Norfolk Co.. possible even as far W as eastern Middlesex/ Worcester/ N RI.  Not sure how we can avoid it with 15F air pouring out over the GOM and then turning that back W into eastern zones without embedding those mechanics.  

CF may coexist with this, too ... making things interesting for sub-meso scale totals. I wouldn't have a problem open the ceiling on this and running 20" totals at this point from what I'm looking at.  I would hash out a region like I just said and just label it "max"

Every run is pretty much in that 0.8-1.1 range up here. 10-16” sounds good barring any changes.

Hopefully we can really crank the latent heating in the south.

Don't love the cutback out here, but if we can avoid Arctic sand and get excellent ratios we'll get crushed too.

OK give me the money Fozz.  Cause 24 hours ago that flight was $260.  I ain’t paying more than that AND my rental car is now on, so that’s 4 days of no use AND it’s an expensive one.  Maybe I’ll just drive it up to Mammoth Mountain Monday where I’ll see more snow than ALL of you.
