Anthony wanting to move to the lakes region..lol. Nothing is going on,  It’s just bad dam luck…period!  Virginia and NC got snow, and look to get more. NNE killing it. Upper Midwest and plains killing it.  Lakes killing it, cold all around.  When it’s snowing literally all around us, it’s just bad dam luck/ju-ju/carma- whatever term you want to use. And that’s that.

As Ray said…sometimes these take some time…climo getting better everyday for us, but maybe we just get f’n Skunked. It happens unfortunately. It’s happening right now.  Not a dam thing anybody can do.  Congrats Virginia lol.

I’ve lived this before here…it can get ugly, and it looks to be back again.

Yeah Chicago is having a really nice start but their winters of late have been abysmal.

I’m starting to weigh the AI versions higher than the regular versions.  The fact that AI more or less is a continuous upgrade by machine learning.  I think we’ve already seen much better performance vs the early days of the AI models.

Too bad we can’t get snow like Buffalo

We’re getting so badly skunked lately.  It was so obvious to me driving from Chicago home Wednesday and Thursday.  Snow otg with good coverage for 95+% of the trip.  Hit bare ground inside 495.

Yup. It really can’t get any worse. And we have nothing really concrete or imminent in this area.

If we get through another week with nothing looming, outside of a cutter and moderation Christmas week, look out

Still watching 12/13. It is not a huge signal but it remains on EPS. OP run looked like advisory type potential south of pike…but we’ll want to watch the ridge out west. Amplify that a bit more and this could go higher.

It’ll get pretty bad in here if we whiff on everything between now and mid-month and then if that relaxation trends back but instead hits closer to Xmas

Of course there’s a lot of things that could happen but there’s also a reasonable chance of good outcomes. I just appreciate that you don’t swing run to run and you just look at the whole situation and talk about what small shifts could we see that would have a big difference. I mean, whatever will be will be, but we live our life in  each moment and it seems a shame to feed negative emotions and negativity.

Look out your window.  What is different for you vs many of us?

It feels like five straight years of bad luck around here.

I was thinking that when I wrote that post. But we’ve also had some pretty bad stretches up here, particularly compared to normal, in recent years. Actually, what calms me and keeps me positive is looking inside my windows at my kids. When I do that, nothing really matters when it comes to weather. Happiness abounds!

Yeah as much as some of us carp, I’m thankful for my incredible privilege in so many ways.  But here we talk snow so why not complain…lol?

Well complaining is a part of our culture you know. But So is arguing. So I will continue to argue about the complaining.
