You are an extremely likeable person in person but you don't post like you speak. By the way an amazing stat. The world has had an incredible reduction in climate caused deaths. The agricultural boom is allowing more people to thrive, more Co2 more agriculture. There are positives and we as humans adapt quickly. I have zero sympathy for people who bult on swamps barrier beaches. The world isn't ending we are evolving with it. The rich irony of calling someone a doomsdayer, and accusing someone of group think, when you've been the one (on several occasions) to encourage people to stock up on canned goods at the mere mention of civil or political tension. 1 1

rimetree
Someone had a premonition when they wrote the title of this thread...yikes. Coldest morning of the season today...got to 27.6. Looking forward to some wintery vibes but don't expect anything notable until 12/15 or later. The early model fantasies never seem to pan out. powderfreak
46/43. Solidly in the warm-sector after one of the coldest mornings. Life comes at you fast, all the sudden dew points in the 40s are noteworthy. It’s been awhile.
powderfreak
Any terrain has gotten plastered over the past week. Anything above 1500ft is very white. The river valleys are not white. It’s that time of year.
Snowedin
Just landed in Wilmington this afternoon and it felt absolutely incredible the rest of the day. It hit 72 and I immediately threw off my sweatshirt and pants and went right back to late summer mode. Wouldn’t mind staying a couple solid weeks in this weather but I’m just paying a quick visit to some extended family atm. Apparently there’s a big frog infestation in the area I’m in which is hard to fathom after days of struggling to make it out of the 40s back home lol.
brooklynwx99
what a day. i find it rather unsettling that people that appreciate the weather can't seem to understand that we are impacting it there is a debate to be had as to how we are impacting the weather directly, aside from a direct increase in overall temperature, and I think that the debate in that regard is needed and is healthy. for example, debating how the increased warming will impact nor'easter potential is worth the time, and the perspectives on that topic are appreciated however, totally denying the impact that we have had is complete BS. that stems from denial or political affiliation (which is honestly even worse than straight up denial) sorry to mods if this needs to be cleaned up btw 1 1

Ginx snewx
Snow down here before Tday melts the next day. Would love to see a wintry progression to the snow line with cold snow starting late November. Stormy days coming up with mountain snows. Pretty much average for now.
Damage In Tolland
Yesterday was a dark day for the forum. With violent outbursts and venom . A dark and doomsday scenario very similar to what the once great city of New York will soon experience. A real shame what went on. Had .40 overnight . More than expected. Onto tracking the snowstorm next weekend. 2

dendrite
Let’s keep it about weather today. Maybe I’ll separate out the posts into a separate thread later, but I’m not sure what more constructively needs to be said. Tickled 50° overnight, but back down to 45.7°. 0.07” I see DIT poured again. Unreal. 4

I asked them salient questions, based upon incontrovertible logic and actual science already proven…and then was called an asshole by Steve for it Sorry, I was triggered I wasn’t talking about fucking temperature trends. And I’m still pissed off they can both go to f hell People can deny all they want but it won't change reality. How the factual equivalent of 2+2=4 with regards to anthropogenic climate change became political is baffling. But hey I guess you can call this warming a blip in the history of the planet. Once humans wipe themselves out, temperatures and the climate will eventually drop & stabilize.
