Went to Renn Fest yesterday (costume and all) and it was beautiful. While I miss the hot days, can’t argue with the fall like weather

I live 5 minutes from there. I hope you enjoyed the lowlands! I hate the traffic on my local back roads from that event lol.

Didn't we have a drought heading into fall last year? I recall we had like two straight weeks without a single cloud in the sky or something freaky like that.

The GFS seems to think we get a pretty good soaking Thursday and Friday. Looks like an inch for everyone west of the bay and about half of that eaat of the bay. It doesn't look that dry over the next 10 days.

Big puffy fall clouds this afternoon. While sitting out on the deck spotted what I thought was just a dying branch but after a closer look it is just the fall colors starting early.

It was wet in mid-august, but turned bone dry in September through October.

Last October I had 32 minutes of rain which measured a whopping .06” of rain, by far the driest month I have ever recorded since 2020.  This May by contrast, 2533 (most in terms of time since 2020) minutes of rain for 7.06” of rain.   This August was similar to last October, second least minutes of rain with 112 minutes for .88”.  That 112 minutes was pure luck, cashed in on small storms on two separate days in early August.  Similarities for sure between October last year and august this year….my grass looks almost the same…a little less dead I guess this year, but still pretty dead!

Well it's 5 mins when not RennFest season. About once or twice we hit the perfect storm of Saturday traffic tie ups...RennFest+Navy home game+Boat show weekend. Makes a quick run to Home Depot a major expedition.

Only down to 64 now. Bit of a warm up, sorta.
