psv88
Looks like 92 will do it. The humidity is horrific so this is still high end. Once the heat index passes 105, 92 v 95 doesn’t really matter
LibertyBell
4 minutes ago, Sundog said: Mid to upper 90s for most, Euro for 2PM today had this on the Saturday 0z run: Even today's 12z run, it had a spot of 103 in western Queens and thereabouts. damn thats a huge let down, thats like it saying you're going to get 38 inches of snow and you get only 10. Oh wait, that happened in January 2015......
LibertyBell
1 minute ago, Sundog said: My concern was high temps because I don't think Coned can handle it. I posted a couple days ago responding to @LibertyBell that dewpoints will be nasty since he was looking for a 2010 type of heat. tomorrow might be more like 2010 though, which would be nice to see. air conditioning has to work harder when the dew point is higher. MANDA
Heat Index is the story today. Temperatures are hot for sure but not extreme. Noteworthy though to see m/u 90's far NW NJ. That is as impressive as anything.
Poker2015
24 minutes ago, FPizz said: Yeah, I see a 99.5 up by route 22, a 99.3 by Bradley Gardens and a 98.9 by Harlen School road. Most of the other stations around seem to be 95-97 though. Mine just got all messed up and popped to 103, lol, but I don't use that for temps since its on my roof. Mine always runs a little hot, its on a fence about 5ft off the ground in the yard. My heat index just says HI now, lol. Saw it hit 121.7 earlier. Wonder if it topped out. 98 and a 99 by White Oak Park. 103 on Station Road

My pool is up to 89. I'm definitely jumping in later.

winterwx21
Somerville on the 2pm observation was 98 with a heat index of 114. Obviously this is just about the most uncomfortable day ever for the month of June.

One zone for the whole house? Good luck, hope it doesn't go out on you. I replaced my A/C system back in 2018 when we moved into our house, as I didn't want the stress of my kids (2 y/o & newborn then) with no A/C on a hot day.
bluewave
Even though the mesonet was recently installed back in the 2010s, my guess is that an 80° dewpoint and 113° heat index is probably a new June record for this far north in NY.

I can relate as my house is approaching 200 years old, and I also have three window units all upstairs and set at 71 currently. That said, my house looks like a crack den inside with all the thermal curtains closed, its 77 downstairs, 94/78 outside.

Cold air is pumping in but I guess not enough. We are replacing the siding and insulation, which I’m sure is shit.
