bluewave Posted yesterday at 11:31 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:31 AM While this doesn’t meet the formal definition, this has some sting jet-like features. Very strong W to NW winds next few hours behind the system with the steepening low level lapse rates. So some spots could gust past 50mph next several hours as models have been underestimating the wind gusts here this year.
winterwarlock Posted yesterday at 11:38 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:38 AM 1.58 in the bucket last night putting me over 8 inches for May..now 8.20 PLEASE MAKE IT STOP
Snowlover11 Posted yesterday at 11:43 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:43 AM Strong winds crossing over from westchester county to rockland. Felt like i was on a plane with turbulence driving across the TZ Bridge.

The stupid high rainfall predictions are just as bad as the stupid high snowfall predictions in the winter. This was always going to produce the high rainfall amounts NW and that's exactly what happened. I woke up to sunshine here at 6 am.

Don't buy in to high amounts, they're just as off as they are in the winter, this was always going to be a NW rainstorm with high winds at the coast. Sunshine is much better than flooding at any rate.

Had the feeling for days Not really a bust since the heavy rain was always going to be NW of our area. This was always going to be an under 1 inch storm for us. The sun coming out so early was a bit of a surprise, but it's awesome to have it most of the day. This is no *lull* either (I don't know why TV Mets use this stupid word, they're like robots), we're not going to be getting anything else today.
