ughhh damn it...I have a ton of quarters and I'm going next Saturday.

I know they used to take quarters back in the day b/c my parents and grandparents would save quarters for the slots.

When I used to go I'd go to the window and get rolls of quarters for the slots, I think some guy from Rhode Island ripped them off making slugs so all the casinos now it's all digital.

Just moved to Plymouth NH to start my masters degree. Anyone around there that can give me a sense of the winters up here?

Long, cold, and dark. CAD reigns supreme. Don't expect any blockbuster events unless a deformation band somehow makes it up there and rots.

I was hoping it would be a little bit snowier than Geneva in the Finger Lakes region of NY. I am a skier so I am hoping for enough snow for that!

I did hear there are many great ski resorts near where I am.

Do you like back country exploration?  The White Mountains are probably the premier mountaineering destination in the east.  The Greens probably get more snow but the Whites are more rugged.

We get more snow than Hobart. ITH normal is about 63" and Meredith COOP is about 80". Plymouth may be a hair less in the shadow zone. In winters with numerous overrunning events (SWFEs) we can really rack up the 6-10 inchers.

The hills to the southwest (Dorchester area) and to the north (Stinson Lake area) get quite a bit more snow and retain it a lot better than in the Baker River Valley itself. Can be hardly any in valley but 18'' up in the hills.

Finally relocated my Ambient station to about 5.5 ft above the ridge of my roof on the opposite end of where the chimney is Wind readings and temperatures now look a lot more accurate.

Station on WU: KMASANDW76

EDIT - probably still a bunch of turbulence from the roof - so not expecting it to be super accurate with the wind - but at least the temp should be better.
