  1. I pay attention to the night time temps quite a bit. It’s been windows open for sleeping most of the month and heat hasn’t needed to be turned on at all. Those things should be noticeable to a casual observer I would think.
  2. Yes, that upper 70s and full sun tomorrow is going to be BRUTAL
  3. The reports of summer’s death are greatly exaggerated. Buckle up!
  4. The ACATT saw their shadow and now we have 6 more weeks of summer!!
  5. You are the only truth teller on here. Everyone lying and saying “summer’s back broken lol” and the dews just keep rolling on. I know chicks dig the heat index, but DP averages are where it’s really at.
  6. Lol at summer’s back being broken on July 30. One cool(ish) week doesn’t mean the season is over. Very short-sighted.
  7. It doesn’t take an exceptional human to notice the high mins. There’s been like 2 “windows open” nights in all of July. Worcester is +4.8 on avg lows for July. Believe me, I notice.
  8. Best weekend since Memorial Day. Love how it set up with the best severe thunderstorms we have seen as a region in a couple years. I think summer has finally arrived!
  9. Good, I despise these noisemakers. You automatically lose the right to complain about climate change if you or your landscapers use them. It’s called “disturbing the peace.”
  10. Man, imagine if today was in January and people were using their crooked rulers - imagine the totals!
  11. 63 DP is still muggy and I won’t be gaslit otherwise. Sweat along the backside will still occur.
  12. Why is 65 DP only considered a “bit” and not a “crap load” of humidity? Looks muggy every single day.
  13. Apple weather is way off on temps today. It has it in the low 50s, when it’s literally 60 everywhere in Worcester county. Where are they getting their data from? Mount Wachusett summit?? I’m not nit picking to nit pick. The stock weather app is almost off by a whole 10 degrees.
  14. You know what’s more awful? It being dark at 4 PM. Everyone is forced to stay inside and get diabetes as a result!
  15. You know heat index is a broken metric when 76/70 “feels like” 76.
  16. Mid 80s does not equal back broken. Not even close. Summer rolls on.
  17. Today marked the 7th consecutive Mother's Day with below average temperatures in the Worcester area. Last above average one was May 10, 2015 with a high of 85 which was the largest departure for the whole month.
  18. I've gotten over snow, I really have. You don't have to shovel dew. I'll take the summer conditions please.
  19. It's because no matter what April does, it will always be subject to the most extreme seasonal lag in the entire year. Noon sun is nearly 60 degrees in the sky, and yet the temps can still be stuck in the upper-40s. This time of year, mid-spring, always feels like an under performer to me. Even when people are like, "Well, April is +4!!!!!" I'm like, so what. It's still the same 50's or 60's, and the cookouts are still not really happening until May. Conversely, I'm always amazed at how long summer like temps can last into September, and how nice October has been lately. When the seasonal lag is in our favor, Sep/Oct seem like they over perform again and again.
  20. This week's weather reminds me of why November is superior to July, and it's not even close. Full sun, 50 degrees, repeat. Full sun, 50 degrees, repeat.
  21. Anyone using A/C this time of year is just being wasteful. Just use a darn fan, soooo much cheaper and just as effective.
  22. Eric Fisher (@ericfisher) Tweeted: Just got the final wrap on September from @bhobservatory. Warm and humid, as I'm sure you noticed, but just outside the Top 10. Finished 11th warmest on record. Also 4th most humid, by measure of average water vapor pressure https://t.co/27MZMKIVao One of the most humid, stickiest Septembers of all time.
  23. Mid-June evenings for the foreseeable future. Warm lows should really propel us to a record warm Octoaster.
  24. Last summer night for awhile - cold stretch incoming. Going to really savor it.
