This is a good headline to scare people.  But in the story, it says no causal link has been established.

Most are under 30 y/o. The 2 deaths were a 22 y/o woman and 35 y/o man.

Since this is obviously a low-key and unwarranted attack on my comment: I've kept my mouth shut multiple times but you're the most toxic, easily triggered, insecure, thin-skinned poster here. Its crazy how folks like you manage to not only move to our communities in NNE and take up an incredible and outsized amount space in reality but also figure out a way to do it virtually as well. Just go home.....someone else will happily pay the property taxes on your gaudy wannabe Tahoe log cabin. We can only hope they're half the a** you are.

Wondering if we're done here:lol:

There may not be a causal link (yet?), but the % of cases are much higher than AZ's clotting issue. From the report above:" The condition developed in one out of 100,000 people who received the shot, while the incidence rate for men of 18 to 30 years was one in 20,000. Two people died and the rest recovered. ".

while no link found between clots and myocarditis, what is it about the vaccine that is potentially responsible for these issues, as they are the same as actual covid infection. Does the spike protein cause so much inflammation either due to vax dose and/or carrier molecule? This won't help more people want to get vaccinated.

TSLA ... should be a  wild ride

The last couple days there has been a shift of money back to the Nasdaq (over other indexes) after a 2 month rotation . Who knows if it becomes legit but that would help Tech stocks. If yields are able to stay under 1.6 or fall it seems the market may show appetite to expand valuations  again .

Crypto was oversold and what a big bounce today

How many suits is TSLA having to defend for accidents like the most recent one where the idiot driver wasn't in the driver's seat, but the car still crashed on auto pilot.

One of my closer friends got his first dose yesterday morning...

Said he spent several sleepy head hours in mid afternoon ... but wasn't sure if it was just part of his normal slovenly Sunday routine lol...  but added that since he had a mild headache accompanying, he's willing to bet it was related.  He's fine this morning...

I told him oh yeah, wait 'till the 2nd dose when they actually give you C-19    lol

The media is in full fear mode on variants and vaccines. I'd like to see how things shake out over the next few weeks to see if there's anything there.

and you know ... it reminds me of the scene in "A Few Good Men" :   "You can't handle the truth!"   ... the lowest common denominator probably can't in a lot of ways..?

But then that is made to be interminably worse by the fact that the target audience in this case ... DEFINITELY unable to handle such a rich and diverse spectrum of half truths and lies - when distant future scholars and historians describe this era ...they probably scope out to be the great achievement in diabolical social engineering since Lead was used as Roman piping and likely contributed to the crumbling of that empire -

The pandemic is real - the information's been dystopian cinema, a fictional account that comes at the average civilian orders of magnitude faster and more dire than nature really imposes any veracious threat, with no accountability as to who is producing the movie.

Yeah.... anyone with a sniffle who’s had the vaccine people want to jump to conclusions. Seems overwhelmingly safe regardless of a few issues that pop up here and there.

Yes. It wait and see.

We've never vaccinated this many adults at one time, ever, with any vaccine I don't believe. There's bound to be some weird stuff that's not really the "fault" of the vaccine per se, just some odd reactions in a handful of people out of millions.

There's definitely a chunk of the real estate bubble that is actually real...it's being fueled by inadequate housing supply built. Esp for starter and middle class homes. So much of the construction has been toward the higher income end of the spectrum. They get better margins there and all those middle class developments going belly-up in the 2007-2008 crash spooked a lot of developers so they were slower to come back to building those units.

But there's definitely an artificial part of the bubble too. The very low supply isn't all due to lack of construction. A lot of it is due to people just not selling right now which started during the beginning of the pandemic. Once more sellers finally decide to test the waters, there will be a natural correction.

There is definitely a lack of inventory in the 400-600k range, at least in this area. Any average home that goes on the market has 40 cars at the open house and it’s gone for 50k over asking in hours.

It’s amusing to see the approximate value of our house now vs 2019 when we bought, but we are in no real position to leave now, plus, unless you can wait it out, your buying back in at the top of the market, so it’s a wash.

I wonder if myocarditis has been happening in the United States at a higher than normal rate?  While Israel has vaccinated a higher percentage of its people, the actual number of vaccinated people in the US is much higher.

Yes, like they have been for over a year now...

If you turn off the TV, fear over COVID quickly fades.

I shit you nay ... we joked and said so -

here's the text stream:

me  " Any symptoms? "

Matt "Super tired for a few hours. To be fair, it was a lazy Sunday so maybe normal?  Headache that lasted half the day. Fine after that."

me  "Right.  Yeah, I'm scheduled to f* up my Saturday ... first dose is actually Friday at 6pm. I'm hoping to just sleep it off overnight but a lot of stories on line about it lagging a day.  Then...the second shot just gives you COVID-19 apparently. That's what those symptoms really are ... nanotechnology distribution prior to the take-over"

Matt "Yup, it takes a while for the satellite to coordinate billions of brains into the uplink - then you only feel fine."

That headline is truly pure unmitigated garbage. It should be criminal to lead with that and then the article says almost the exact opposite.

Basically, they aren’t even sure if it was linked to the vaccine, it would even be more than what you would expect in the general population.

Today marks 20 years since the Andover KS tornado. To this day I think it’s still one of the most amazing tornado videos ever shot, and that’s saying something considering we all have hd cameras in our pockets nowadays. Love how the guy just stays quiet and films the tornado and lets the storm do the talking.

https://play.spokenlayer.com/this-day-in-weather-history <—— podcast on it, haven’t listened yet so no idea if it’s any good.

The stuff will really hit the fan when it becomes widely known that Tesla's autopilot is designed to disengage fractions of a second before a crash so Tesla can claim the driver was in control. Or when it comes out that Tesla is not actually collecting a gigantic amount of data from each car for their "neural net". Or maybe when a car on autopilot runs down a bunch of bicyclists or something. I dunno, feels like regulators are starting to wake up. NHTSA is taking more heat from NTSB and Congress for its blatant disregard for Tesla safety concerns in recent years; China is losing patience with Tesla over all the sudden unintended acceleration, battery fire, broken suspension and autopilot issues. Frankly I'm more interested in how they've been realizing a good $400 million a quarter in EV credits like clockwork. I don't get where this money is suddenly coming from. Until this past year, when most other manufacturers weren't producing EVs but had to have credits, Tesla was recognizing $100-$200 million every few quarters, usually when they needed to dress up a bad income statement. Suddenly, when manufacturers are selling thousands of EVs and don't need to buy nearly as many credits from Tesla, they recognize a lot more revenue from that source? How does that work? Is that number even real? Is it the new accounts receivable inflation to mask how shitty their business actually is?

one time i got poison ivy a few hours after i took some ibuprofin. I haven't taken ibuprofin since that day, because it obviously gave me poison ivy. my doctor told me that there was no causal link, but I know better than her.

I've turned the phrasing recently ...

... the moment in time the "Industrial Media Complex" figured out a way to turn thumb swipes, mouse clicks, and television channel pings into money ... we were doomed - .. it's one big festering din of bate-and-switch enquivocation and lies, and the profit only happens once the headline is crossed ...

The whole system needs a Carrington Event

The funny thing about that is that it would almost be okay ... if the mass ballast of population learned the 'cry wolf' lessen and yeah yeah yeah'ed it.  But this modern era is exposing that trophy culture is the biggest lie of all, because the majority is too stupid not to fall for headlines.

It feels like we've known for awhile it spreads through droplets in the air. I haven't taken sanitizer seriously in almost a year. Contact with surfaces doesn't seem highly probable.

I am not aware of a single case of covid from touching something.   During the first month of the pandemic I wore gloves at the market.   Basically the only time I use hand sanitizer now is going into and out of my doctors appointments.   That said, old habits die hard....I still use my elbow to push the button for the walk sign at busy intersections.
