The sinkholes weren't as prevalent there as opposed to say, bowling alley, but the road was so busted that I slept every night to the sound of 18-wheelers breaking their axles at the red light and bums fighting outside of Gary's bar with the blood spilling over to the parking lot of Roma Pizza. Fix that shit, and we'll give you snow.
daxx Posted December 16, 2020 1 minute ago, Itstrainingtime said: @daxx What are you thinking? I'm thinking our area is lock for at least 8 inches. I'm sure we mix for several hours. What we don't want is the dreaded dryslot. Sitting for hours waiting and hoping the ccb comes to save us is agonizing. I know people hate the hrrr but I think it is great for trends. We usually see small shifts east with heaviest precip in these setups. Between Harrisburg and Williamsport I think are golden.

BTW, I forgot to say that I'm rooting for you to minimize any mixing and to reach the high end of Horst's range of 12" for you!

Eskimo Joe Posted December 16, 2020 Hey all, just wanted to pop by and say it's now steady -SN in the NW Baltimore County. Looks like we're running a degree or two colder at least at the surface than forecast. The 06z 3k NAM doesn't appear to be handling the start time very well down there. It didn't move precip into Baltimore until about 1pm and we've already started. Just something worth noting for up your way.
Voyager Posted December 16, 2020 I may miss the first flakes, but I'm going to take a little nap to recharge the batteries for a night of observing and (hopefully) filming for my YouTube channel. Currently 26 degrees with solid lead gray overcast.

Gotta love it when a storm starts off like this. Usually a good sign.

That was June after I spent May learning about the thousands of Russian Orthodox folks who flooded central PA to make bricks and mine the coal and litter the landscape with Byzantine crucifixes. I then moved onto watching a bunch of Bear Grylls types taking saws and brush and surviving in the woods of Michigan for three days in 70°F weather like I was supposed to be dazzled.
