WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 3 PM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations ranging a coating
  to around one inch in the valleys, with 1 to 3 inches in the
  higher elevations of Carroll County, and 2 to 5 inches in the
  Catoctin Mountains.

* WHERE...Frederick MD and Carroll Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to 3 PM EST Monday. Rain will change to snow,
  most likely between 9 AM and 11 AM Monday morning. The heaviest
  snow is expected late Monday morning through early Monday
  afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, especially across
  the higher elevations. The hazardous conditions could impact
  the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibility may be reduced below one mile at
  times in falling snow.

  of 1000 feet.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and western Maryland,
  northwest Virginia and eastern and panhandle West Virginia.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to 1 PM EST Monday. Rain will range to snow,
  mostly likely between 7 AM and 9 AM Monday morning. The heaviest
  snow is most likely late Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning commute

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibility may be reduced below one mile at
  times in falling snow.

Winter Storm Watch changed to WWA for up to 8".  Not sure how that happens.

I’m shocked an advisory for up to 8” inches. I expected them to put out a warning ⚠️
