Wow, high clouds and 31 here

Sun broke out here too. Sitting at 36.

Newest HRRR looks kind of dry. Onto the next! Ha.

It kind of looks like the UK Met. Just dry slots the heck out of us. Oh well, I guess we will find out what happens soon enough.

Good run on the Euro. Widespread 6+ throughout the mtns. Latest HRRR is concerning but that has been the only run this morning showing that much of a dryslot

I doubt we see 4 to 6 and you get 0. More likely you get an inch or 2 and I get 3 or 4.

Just booked a room in Cashiers, NC. So I'm locked in even though GSP map and some of the mesoscale models makes me wonder if I should've gone a little more east. Oh well, excited to join yall on the journey! Thanks for all the advice!

I'll take my chances at 3500'.

Hope everyone gets hammered! :snowing:

Surprised GSP is being so bullish. I'll take it though. Adds to the excitement.

HRRR I'd like to toss. Looks like the NAM is coming in to save the hour.

38/27 at the house.

So the NAM and HRRR are in huge disagreement, especially in lower elevations like Asheville. Anyone have thoughts?

I like the NAM better just because it has a much better track record.

Just speaking to what I'm seeing trying to compare the two in NE GA the NAM initialized way too warm with its 3pm temps. Showed mid 40s when ground truth is 39. Don't know if that's what's causing the changes with outcomes though.
