Might get there next week.  Chris, what's the earliest that NYC has had a max at or under 32 degrees?

The low of 27 this morning in NYC is 2nd earliest on record behind 1879. Tied the record low of 29 yesterday. All the more impressive following the latest mid 90’s around NYC in early October. A few days earlier than the record cold in 2017. That record cold followed the warmest October on record around the area at +7.2. So the record warmth in October followed by record cold in November continues.

23 in wantagh last night. Very impressive cold. Any annuals are shriveled. Perennials and remaining leaves are going right into winter mode.

last night took care of anything close to building or other warm spots that was hanging on....down to 22 here last night-mid winter chill

Through Nov 8th departures

EWR: -3.6
NYC: -2.5
LGA: -2.9
JFK:  -2.8
ISP: -2.8
TTN:  -5.3

Look to add to these negatives through the 18th then moderation 11/18 - 11/23-24ish before next cold period to end the month.   Looking like a lock for a -3 or colder month for many,

17 on my hill this morning. Strangely enough now that it's back above freezing (36) things that were green yesterday are still green, lawns are still looking pretty good and the trees that hadn't dropped their leaves after the wind a few days ago still haven't.

Most things died here last night. Annuals for sure and the deciduous perennial shrubs like hydrangeas had their leaves zapped. It’s all over

We should make the list again this year with the projected low 20’s for NYC early Wednesday.

Very impressive, especially given the far greater UHI effect now compared to back then.

More like T-2

No dude it’s 2-3 and some northern spots get 4. The snow comes in after a brief rain shower another couple of hours of a slow down and this is all snow for the coast!
