Who would have thunk that areas further south have benefitted in late season snow events. Just like in mid and late March 2014...they got buried in the Mid Atlantic...while we smoked cirrus/or had completely clear sunny days and cold temps. CoastalWx
And I am talking more of a storm...not some sort of mix snow/rain event like friday.

That thing Friday looks to be a complete joke if you're talking a winter type event. Can't be hanging ones hat on something like that.

Friday is mostly garbage anyway...maybe brief period of steady snow and then it vaporizes....mostly looks like an ORH county to Berks deal for SNE folks seeing anything more than a C-1"...prob litchfield county too. Damage In Tolland
That Tuesday storm next week is gonna be a beast for us. It ends winter and flips pattern. But man it looks like a monster from this vantage point

It changes to rain for all of SNE...except maybe on the northern berkshire crest. It's def not staying all frozen for most even if trends a little colder. Maybe for places like WaWa. Who would have thunk that areas further south have benefitted in late season snow events. Viewed from my location, this makes 3 consecutive Aprils with that "farther south" phenomenon (though last year the far north was good as well - the Rt 2 corridor was the snow desert last April.) Maybe we break that string this week and next? Edit: And the north looks good this year, too. WSWs for the northern 1/3 of Maine for 6-12" while my area might get 1/2" of sleety mush before the changeover. Friday is iiffy, too, though it might be enough to scotch our church's trip to the Megantic sugar shack. Rt 27 north of Eustis is not nice in wintry wx, especially since the trucks keep on coming.
