We are always so cute talking about ratios

Fraud 5 of the Mid-Atlantic

1. Rates will save us

2. Ratios will help us

3. We'll prevail against marginal temps

4. DC Jackpot

5. Thundersnow is on the table

I live downtown DC right by the capital. Got tired of waiting for the snow to come to me, so I gassed up the jeep.

Heading  about 55 miles south/south east to point Lookout State Park to see if my beagle and I can plan some of the more moderate stuff.

Snow picked up a little bit on the highway right by the new casino. Extremely light coating on the grass about 20 miles south, southeast of DC

Good call.  Your avatar pic suggests you have an evil master plan you are about to unleash beyond just snow chasing.  I want in.

Suddenly looks like a snowstorm here in AA county (7 miles west of Annapolis). Best rates of the day so far. Temp 20. Radar looks encouraging for us along the western shore of the bay.

Awesome. Snow filling in without me losing the band. Enjoy D.C. Folks.

Need more of that over mby and to the west. Liking what I see down to our SW though.

Steady light snow has developed over past 3/4-hr.  Small grains only, imitating slight stickage on car, deck, roof.  Nothing on grass.  Temp hit 20.9 before snow ramped up, down to 20.7.  Low pre-dawn was 20.3.  Slightly heavier band to my west folks reported on earlier appears to be trying to move in.  Not much to be excited about looking at radar.

Very light floaters...an occasional fatty mixed in. Can't call it much more than a coating. Feels like it's done here...stopped looking at the radar a bit ago

I've lived here for 20 years and one thing I am certain of is...yes we are done.  Which might mean we are not.

More like MOD snow has developed in last 10-15 mins.  Slight whitening of sidewalks, streets, car, deck and mulch.  The grass looks like it wants to follow suit but it's still more on the green side.  Temp down a notch to 20.5.

SN in Dupont, all surfaces coated. Pretty

perfect winter: 2-weeks cold/snow, 1-week warm/dry, 2-weeks cold/snow, 2-weeks warm/dry, a classic Nor'easter and very cold and picturesque week, then 2-weeks warm and outdoorsy, sunny and quite dry... (etc etc)
