Even BOS looks like a 32-33F snow..although it's right on the line. The NAM has a pretty good area of lift into srn NH and MA along the warm conveyor belt. Thursday? CT Rain
Interesting to see the RGEM and RPM with this accumulating snow. The NAM and GFS (at 6z) at one hell of a dry punch at 850mb that doesn't moisten up.

dryslot
Not a lot of moisture to work with with this northern stream clipper and no secondary development limits its output to a couple inches or so

powderfreak
That's a huge difference on the RGEM vs even the 12z NAM and the 06z guidance.
40/70 Benchmark
I'll take the RGEM over NAM twice every day of the week.
ORH_wxman
The GFS and NAM are drier than RGEM but they have trended south in the past couple runs. The NAM actually has some decent omega in the pike region, but just doesn't spit out the qpf due to some dry air in the lower mid-levels....RGEM is further south with this dry air. dryslot
12z GFS really trying to bring moderate snow to CNE/NNE on the 24th, Northern stream s/w digs further south this run and gets some gulf moisture involved

Yea, I don't have much hope....but hopefully if it digs a bit more, than at least a few more folks up north of here can pull off a xmas miracle. I'll take the wet-hit. We have had more than our share in recent seasons.

I'll take the wet hit. Our better bet for a White Xmas is to pull off a couple inches tomorrow and keep Xmas Eve mostly a dry FROPA where temps don't get out of the mid/upper 30s. But we'll see...not impossible for Xmas Eve to trend a bit colder, but I'd rather see the flow more easterly instead of strong southerly/southwest

Sneaky Scooter high...pretty big temp gradient...could be low to mid 30s in BOS while it's 10F warmer in NYC and 15F warmer in DC...meanwhile deep winter up north...BTV region could struggle to get above 20F. CoastalWx
Well, it seems like it's showing the deep lift like the NAM had, only south. It does have the RPM on its side for whatever that's worth.
