We're not getting anything like what you've seen, yet.  However, my modest total of 2.7" is more than last year thru 12/28.  And there's actually some interesting things on models; last year it wasn't until the 12/29 storm began to show on models about a week earlier that there was anything but blah.

Most certainly not, Maybe catch a few inches this week, Looks like 3 chances

Impressive considering they've already gotten about 2 feet in the past 2 days. Would be really cool to be out there right now with skis.

Boy if you looked at one snapshot of the 00z Euro for 18z Tuesday afternoon and looked only at surface precip & MSLP.  You would be giddy.   Moisture laden low pressure developing off North Carolina.  1021 mb High pressure just north of Maine.

Alas it is all for naught as the actual trough axis is back in Iowa.

Good. Get the ice on the lakes going. It's a good NNe look coming up.

That's what we are lacking right now, Even up north in the county, The scuttle is lack of ice on lakes and ponds, Plenty of snow to ride, But water crossing are sketchy at best

Our climate focal just ran the numbers yesterday, and at PWM and CON the monthly low tepms (23) were some of the warmest ever. 2nd warmest and warmest respectively. And remember CON's period of record is since 1868.

Wow that does look great!!  It's gotta hold for 3 weeks...hoping it can.  Wish I was there now.  They grooming already??  Thought the trails didn't open tip the 15th??

Yes, They are grooming, But also doing a lot of trail work brushing back and removing downed trees so must proceed with caution,  Some are riding the local trails, Officially it is the 15th
