Still completely sunny in Westchester. Amazing to think there are severe storms only 25 miles to the south.

I think it was just below severe when it pulsed over me in Whitestone, Queens.

Looks like it's weakening now. Let's see if it can pulse up 1 more time.

Mehhh. Rained for about 20 mins or so here, maybe 2 mins of which was heavy. No thunder or lightning. Looks like they petered out a bit once they approached the shore, but I guess it's better than nothing for us south shore people. My grass is spikey against my bare feet now since it's so thirsty!

In the last couple days, the RGEM has been showing a few downpours popping up for today. I was wondering why a slight chance wasn't put in the forecast. 

 

Wish they did..I went to Robert Moses, got soaked at the beach. Then it let up to start up again even heavier. Most ppl left but I hung out in the pking lot then came back for a nice late afternoon, but much cooler.

Since I get no cell service there I had no clue how isolated it was or not. Did it rain in the city?
