Skiing up from Bristol through warren ri today. In Newport it was sunny and felt reasonably mild, then, the clouds have slowly moved in and the sky darkened. Much colder the further north you get, with far moRe snow. Water up here is frozen over completely and even the southern breeze is cold. Black clouds to the south and West. Not seen a flake yet.

Quickly went moderate. Medium flakes. The real meat isn't modeled to get in till 6:00 pm on

SN here--flakes had been crap but are now okay.  Breezy.

Looks like this first batch will give me a quick inch with pretty good intensity before the lull now in the southern tier. The second batch looks to be coming off Lake Erie now--hope for the best.

18.8/12

Looking at the radar, I'm under the pretty intense band extending SW from Albany.  It's a nice spot to be in which a less intense batch behind it.  Per RGEM, that will be the bulk of what happens in my hood with not so much coming in during the evening/overnight.

vis about 1/4 mile at the moment
