Yes, CC is the best dual pol tool to use...

The more you get under .98-1.0, the more the hydrometeors do not "correlate" to one another -- i.e. indicative of a mix.

Someone with access, can you please post the latest CC image from LWX?  Thanks in advance..

Thanks - here's the latest.. moving in fast from the southeast

HUGE dendrites, they even look like golf balls, huge fuzzy golf balls, just POURING out of the sky! I have 6.7 inches. Super heavy snow keeps pouring down, I guess you could say that this is torrential snow. 24 degrees. The part of the road the plow went over an hour ago is inches deep in fresh snow

FANTASTIC STORM

Took my dog out at 12:30 to do his biz, by 1:30, there was no evidence thay he had been ou at all. Closing in quickly on 5" in Parkville. Pretty sure I saw some lightning off in the distance (SE towards Dundalk/Essex) a few minutes ago, didn't hear thunder so I can't confirm. Temp holding nearly steady at 23.5, dp steady at 22. Next death band incoming, sour beer and dark chocolate to set the mood.

Just an amazing dump of snow in the last three hours. We should be at a foot by morning it would appear. Glad to have you on the board - nice to have another regular poster from this part of Baltimore.
