Congrats...my temp actually went up since the winds went calm. I thought they would plummet. So disappointing. Looks like I have to wait for next winter to experience a sub-zero temp, if it can happen next winter.

Wow @ that. They are about as near the coast as I am but I am 15 degrees warmer than them right now. Being in the UHI royally sucks. It's so disgusting and unnatural.

I am absolutely baffled as to why they think this with the way our temps have been so far:

That -13F near the PA/NJ border validates my number nicely. Dropping fast with incredibly stars out.

On a night like tonight with calm winds and deep snowcover, if the vast majority of us can't reach zero it will be hard to imagine a regime under which we can do so again unless the PV dives into New England or something.

 

I'm at 7 degrees right now.
