Not sure if many people were expecting widespread 4"+ - I think 2-3 inches with isolated higher totals was probably a good bet all along.

Well nws upped to 4-6" for dc and vicinity. Think that will be tough but because we started a bit warm relatively speaking. Should be better with this next incoming band

Better accumulations with the band about to cross the river into DC.  The prior high reflectivity band was mostly due to the size of the aggregates.

 

Is there a particular feature that is supposed to enhance mesoscale bands this AM or is what we see right now kind of what the situation will be all morning?
