Jet Stream Rider
Moderate sleet. Some snow mixed in. No freezing rain yet. Surfaces are covered. 25.2 degrees.
Amos83
I think that main batch of precip in TN will be too far north of the upstate/CLT area. Freezing drizzle now near the airport. if you looks closely the entire line is move ESE, look to me like it will run right into CLT. Line is building south too. MotoWeatherman
High and dry at 25 in Dahlonega. The way this is looking I will be surprised if I end up with .05" QPF.
Solak
Had a little light snow here around 11:00 that quickly changed to sleet. Now it's a mix of sleet and rain.
strongwxnc
if you looks closely the entire line is move ESE, look to me like it will run right into CLT. Line is building south too. CLTwx
Panovich just told me that he believes CLT will be close to warning criteria and asked the NWS about it. They said for now they will stay with WAA
Jet Stream Rider
Getting slammed with heavy freezing rain here in Crossville. Sleet pellets are occasionaly mixing in. The roads are a mess and by my estimates at least a quarter of an inch of ice on the trees and power lines. Satelite is aready out. Fingers crossed the power stays on. This may be shaping up to be the worst ice storm I've seen here. Yikes. Hang in there. Thanks for the report.

Cold Rain
Moderate sleet in southern Wake. I have yet to see a good period of snow. Probably won't happen with this one, but it's nice to get anything frozen at this point.
matt4pack
Here by RDU it's been mostly snow. Did have a burst of sleet when the first line came through.
Stovepipe
Power outages being reported around the area here. It'll be interesting to see how long we stay below freezing at the surface. Todd Howell, local met, says it may rise above between 1 and 3 pm.
weatherheels
Not much in kville. Sitting at 23 degrees with an occasional rain drop and sleet pellet. Haven't been out to see how the little burst of snow earlier effected conditions but the parking lot still looks very slick
audioguy3107
High and dry at 25 in Dahlonega. This was this is looking I will be surprised if I end up with .05" QPF. Have some faith, perhaps it'll begin backbuilding towards the south. It's really a shame to waste this cold of a wedge though. I've spoken to a couple of our patients who have seen a couple of spinouts around the Gainesville area. What has fallen has immediately frozen.....now just need to get some QPF over here. I wish that would happen for sure but I'm having my doubts. Just saw my quoted post and dad gum on my wording. Many times what I'm thinking doesn't always end up being typed out. My post made no sense.
