easternsnowman
Outside of the usual suspects (that seem to easily hit 90) I think the hot days are done for the year.
NYCSuburbs
yesterday busted...no sun too many clouds today has a shot in some place and I still say we will get other chances at 90 in the future. One of those chances will be late next week. I'm not sure about 90s but upper 80s should be within reach for the typically warmer areas especially next Thursday. 850mb temps are modeled to reach about 16C with west/WSW winds. NYCSuburbs
Back in NE NJ for the weekend... wasn't sure in what thread to post this, but the NE NJ storm this afternoon caused a mess around here. Lightning struck a man in a school in the neighboring town and after being flown to a nearby hospital was later pronounced dead - link to news article. As much as thunderstorms are exciting, they can be just as dangerous.

bluewave
Looks like a short lived cool down the next few days followed by a return to highs above 80 this week. We have a tendency to build the WAR back with such warm SST's off the NE Coast.

Stormlover74
Hard to believe today was only 2 degrees below normal. It felt so cool and fall-like but with all the recent warmth, especially in overnight lows today really wasn't that far below normal. Tomorrow will probably be the biggest departure from normal before we get back to near normal by midweek.
