That rogue cell a half hour ago opened up a can on downtown Amherst. Loud, heavy splats and even some thunder. Not the slightest breeze though and we've lost 10 degrees anyway.

The sun is back out somewhat so maybe we can recover a little. Not super optimistic, but if we do get anything the updrafts must be pretty decent.

BTV issued one for the cell near Rutland 20 minutes ago, but the Maine one looks more impressive.

Yeah, There is some rotation in that cell, There is a pretty good line dropping SE, There is another cell over the bethal area that is looking rather healthy as well, That one maybe the next one

These appear to be more successful with lightning than the activity yesterday...

I was just at an office window peering west at some blue/gray darkness in the far WNW horizon and actually saw some flickers in there. I'm a 15 miles away here in Westborough in sun still.

kind of hard to get storms going with dews in the upper 40's in some spots

We discussed this a lot earlier.

This is a low CAPE scenario that is entirely driven by lapse rates and jet mechanics. The jet part of this doesn't arrive until around 6pm... we'll see.

I still think mainly small hail and a few storms with some strong gust but nothing really severe
