  2. Jan to Feb 2016 was a legit blocking regime. Shame we only cashed in once but it was a big one at least. March 2018 but dunno if March counts But we had great blocking from mid December to early Feb 2021. It produced a great winter up here but nothing but perfect track rainstorms for DC that winter. That was one of the more depressing seasons in terms of wondering how much damage to DCs snow climo warming has had. No excuse for a single digit snow season with this h5 for the heart of winter!
  3. Ditto here, actually one was pretty close. Nice steady rain for a while now, over .25" so far. Nice!
  4. Coming down just west of I-355 in Chicago metro. Did not expect to see this so soon. Understood could be transient.
  5. First snow of the season! Hopefully we are all well above average come spring!
  6. I'm surprised @RCNYILWX hasn't chimed in as of yet.
  7. This rain seems heavier and more widespread than what guidance was suggesting. And I’m still getting screwed.
  8. Tried to get a few pics of it coming down. Light to moderate snow now with temp at 32. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
  9. Pummeled. Sounds like July out there.
  10. Flipped to snow here about an hour ago. Already a covering on the grass.
  11. Temp down to 33 with light snow currently here in Haywood county! First snow of the damn season fellas!
  12. This is the same type of event as the other night. Overnight rains ending around daybreak....maybe .25". 58F/light-mod rain
  13. Jealous that you made it out! Get some pics
  14. That area is so interesting with all the large old trees! Edit- just looked at Snowshoe cams, already starting to flurry up there and about 34 degrees.
  15. Flurries are flying at Cataloochee now. 30F currently.
  16. Today
  17. How did NYC get record breaking snowfall in Nov. 1882 Nov. 1898 and Nov. 1938 ? We are way overdue !
