Yeah a week averaging -15 isn’t going to get us much snow. Even the biggie required a massive WAA push aloft despite the cold low levels. I’ve had enough with sub 500 thicknesses after this weekend.

Pittsburgh/Western PA WINTER ‘25/‘26

I'm glad someone else on here said it before me! [emoji23] Honestly, I'm glad the last one missed us. The brutal cold and mounds of snow everywhere starts to get old. I love snowstorms and loved the last one, but I like a little bit of a thaw after to clean some of it up at least. I know the snowpack guys here will hate me for saying this, but I'm more about the event itself than having snow all over the place for weeks after. I don't mind if there is some melting after. I live in an apartment that has giant mounds of snow everywhere in the lot and it's been tough to find parking around all of it. Anyway, that's just me. Lol -
I don’t trust any Op past a few days…and that’s a stretch lately. So when an Op shows something/anything out at 300 plus hrs, it’s a clown solution-period. Laughable.

@GaWx I GOT to know if you got snow this weekend?
-
I mean. You really cant make this shit up.
-
Yup.
-
Maybe it waffled a bit, but then for days it did not like it much.
-
Yes.

Few flurries in Chattanooga Sunday evening. I did a double take. Hoarfrost is as beautiful as ice, with zero impacts. Winner! The moonlight pix? Those have 99% solar eclipse vibes. Only 19 more years! -

Those under 3 inches did not verify the warning. The original forecast also busted but that doesn't impact meeting criteria or not. -
32 here. Streak over.

32 here bright sunshine melting has begun.

Folks looking for action might like that implied battleground with the cold lurking in Canada. Sure it could go wrong, but volatile at least.

my uncle had a car like that; we used to pile in the back, no seatbelts, head to the shore, sand everywhere in the car on the way back, wind blowing with the open windows, no ac, no power windows....my uncle was a great guy, ww 2 pow, but cheap as hell...worked at gm and probably got a discount...

That’s a good point- to verify simply with snow alone has to be in incredibly rare territory. -
Both of those storms were blizzards here.

1/31/26 OH Valley deep freeze snowpack. We're still 10in deep of frigidity here lol. Coldest stretch since that snowless hell year 10 or so years ago. Once again, snow makes it justified. Pretty much entire forum covered so for all the the me me me mby complaining that is a plus thats gonna move this year to an A for me

Moving to warmer phases now. So the pattern change makes sense.
