Who knows, maybe some overrunning/SWFE potential in the last week of March..but nothing really to get excited about. Could easily turn into another cutter or two.

I wasn't paying attention but didn't realize we were expecting wind today. Guess it makes sense with the storm in the lakes. Lost power earlier, just long enough to have to reset all the clocks. -
Agreed. Although at this point it looks mostly south of our sub for really significant tornado threats, it wouldn't take much to put Richmond or even DC under the gun. Makes sense; really potent jet ejecting at over 50kts translationally into a relatively large OWS with >60s dews is always a recipe to go big time.

We always do wind well in March. Surprised there's no wind advisory IMBY though.

Andrew is quite conservative. To see him honking like this a couple days out is interesting.- 161 replies

Same here. Left the generator out there just in case it goes out again this evening.

Going to be issues this summer with how dry it has been. Unless they get a ton of rain soon or snow, they are going to have major drought conditions, and high chances of wildfires.
-
For me its- 1/17- .25" surprise dusting 1/25- 2" of mostly sleet .25 ZR 1/31- 5" of wind blown powder 2/5- .5" Season total- 7.25" and .25 ZR Final Grade- B+ I can't give it an A here and quite frankly its more of a B or B- when comparing to the 30 year average but when comparing to the last 10 years it was a solid winter. We broke our non WSW criteria drought, had multiple events for the first time in years and quite a bit to track during that 4 week period. I can't give it an A because we still didn't get a true southern Miller A paste bomb and it was generally dry.
-
Next week's "cold" really moderate from what it looked like 3-5 days ago-coldest day is Wed at 40 degrees...earlier runs showed high 20's into the low 30's for a couple of days
-
A colder dry !
-
Summer is a festival of bore...
-
On and off mild spells. It isnt going to stay warm with blocking possibly returning. Alot of dreary days ahead.
-
Eps got colder in the long range compared to the 0z run

Or last time PWM (59.7") was basically even (Spring will widen that gap, presumably).
