  1. Past hour
  2. When the lifting sucks and there's nothing to seed the clouds with, you can get freezing drizzle/light freezing rain. The heavier stuff to the west will likely be sleet when it gets here.
  3. Moderate freezing rain with heavier downpours in Colonial Beach. 28F. Here we go
  4. Well I'd rate this storm a B-. We rarely get an ice event like this but this morning was a surprise. Looking forward to flow snow tonight on the backend of all this mess. Also if I come across strong with any of yall my apologies. I know this storm tested a lot of us and our friendships on here. Ill admit im an asshole from time to time but I mean well. It was great tracking with you lads.
  5. i wanted sleet. and i missed out on all of the heavy stuff. oh well.
  6. System wrapping up here. Right at about 3.5" of Snow/Sleet, mainly sleet. No ZR.
  7. Radar looks primed for Central Park for the next few hours (assuming it stays all sleet), should easily get them to 10"+
  8. Must’ve had some pingers mixed in earlier. This latest round of shoveling was much heavier. All snow now though. Looks like 13-14”. Fun storm and the freaking Pats are back in the big game!!
  9. Just finished shoveling. 11 inches. Felt like much more. Yard looks awesome. 4 ft wall of snow around driveway and front yard. Bethel had us on snow emergency and said no one park on street or they won't plow, well they barely plowed. Came twice before 5 am then once all day. And they only plowed middle of the road. Absolutely ridiculous for the taxes we pay. Sorry for the rant... A friend in North Carolina texted me and said the weather app he uses says Bethel Park got 17 inches. My cousin in Franklin Park said at 230 that he had 6.75. Was it that the ratios were so bad? None of the snow was wet. Back side looks weak for south of city. Have 39.75 for the year. Let's go Pens.
  10. Down to 25 and its 90/10 freezing rain. My driveway is a skating rink, fun!
  11. 9 inches of sugar cookie! Extreme NE MD (Still use Old Bay at the headwaters of Big Elk Creek - Head of the Head of the Bay!)
  12. Upon seeing the back edge on radar we went out for what we hope is our last driveway clear. Totals are 6” snow and 4” sleet. The sleet was the worst to clear off of the driveway. Was like shoveling sand.
  13. Maybe we can get a large shift in time like we did with today's storm.
  14. The OP looks REALLY CLOSE here. I’d love to see what it would have done beyond 144 .
  15. Lurker and fan here. Love sitting, watching, learning. Forecast question: where do you think we are at 6PM in terms of percentage dropping until breakfast? Reason I ask, I just had to scrape off a couple of trailers (RV and automotive enclosed) as the buildup pretty much hit my limit (I lost a trailer roof in 2012 from the snow load, so I'm paranoid). Do you think I need to get up before breakfast to clean them off again or should I be good for after coffee? BTW, I know it's not the OBS thread but here in the center of CT I'm estimating about 10-11" of light stuff (roughly middle-to-top-of-calf-high), still have not heard any sleet. Beautiful event (well, except for having to clean off the trailers...)
  16. This is many of us if that CAD was a little less stout.
  17. Most of us in SE PA will be above average for the entire season after this storm, can’t beat that before historically our snowiest month.
  18. Back edge approaching Frederick finally. Only an hour or two left.
  19. Not a ton of moisture to work with, but NAM soundings along the mountains and foothills actually look decent for a switch to some light snow starting late tonight/early morning after the 850mb temps drop below -10C. DGZ basically just above the surface and inversion potentially trapping moisture.
