  1. Past hour
  2. Got through the 10th! Would be nice to score, like, 6 runs now lol
  3. GRAF is a garbage model. I've never seen it get anything even remotely correct.
  4. September is typically the best overall weather month around here with May as a close second. But after about October 10th things go downhill fast. Worst part is losing daylight at a rapid pace. The good news if you hate Winter like me, is that the period of really cold weather and darkness is only about 8 weeks long.
  5. What's your all-time warmest month? Is July 1999 holding on like me or is it another month?
  6. Nice day. Mid 70s high, clouds seem to dominate. Seasonal transition has been evident the last couple weeks. Sun doesn’t have that extra oomph to make it feel nasty outside. Best time of year taking hold.
  7. Bottom of the 10th. We win and I’ll buy a round at a get together at sapwood next week. i think I’m safe.
  8. Thanks for reminding me I didnt update it
  9. HRRR has been trending SW with the convection tonight keeping even SW CT out of the game, lol.
  10. Another week and we have...NFL FOOTBALL!!!! Bring it.
  11. WTF is with Holliday? Horrible error last night that contributed to a loss and now a boneheaded decision when he was in scoring position.
  12. Unfortunately another inch of boring rain /downpour incoming here with no lightning except what is seen over NW CT
  13. LOL Rockies tied it in the 9th. Orioles still are who we thought they were.
  14. I understand that has happened in the past, but I would still prefer a +PDO in east-based Nino. Remember that correlates with warm water in the GOA and off the West Coast. PDO is further west than east-based Nino position, and doesn't necessarily only fuel it. It can shift things a bit west if strong enough Some of the east-based Nino composite is warm in the NE because of +NAO (which is a more random part - if anything warmer 10mb in +ENSO may slightly favor -nao over a large enough sample). Jan 1998 is an anomaly, but I'm willing to say if that upper latitude pattern happens 10 times in east-based Nino it's cold in the east 8/10. Some times things just don't line up like they usually do. See Dec 2022 and March 2023 as 2 good examples of that. It's only because the correlation isn't 100%.
  15. Anyone take a look at lapse rates? It also had decent inflow off of peak warm gulf waters. .
  16. High of 97. Dew point high of 85. Feels like high of 127. I am so over this crap and we still have at least 2 more days of this.
  17. 96 here today with 105 heat index, MLI hit 95 for the 2nd day in a row.
  18. Orioles still struggling to score more than a couple runs, even against the worst team in baseball. If they lose this game that Cowser robbery the other night doesn't mean shit. Not sure how they are going to win important series against the better competition going forward.
  19. Honda clearing on auto thermometer accuracy, no surprise there
