  1. Past hour
  2. 2025-26 winter rankings at Detroit: SNOWFALL- 39.5” 74 snowier, 71 less snowy (since 1881) SNOWCOVER (1”+)- 63 days 27 had more, 1 had same, 86 had less (since 1913) TEMP- 25.3F 43 colder, 2 same, 107 warmer (since 1874)
  3. Has the Pope's early summer call held up? Seems a bit chilly
  4. Had 0.1" of slushy wet snow that melted quickly Monday. Then a low at DTW of 22F yesterday and 26F today. Likely winters last hurrah til November (or maybe October ;)).
  5. 26 here. I already added 10 gallons of diesel to avoid the higher cost of a 100 or 150 gallon minimum for heating oil. I might actually go do that again today. I'm only using 5-6 gallons a week now.
  6. Wow. Guess just pretty lucky here. But lots of areas probably dry up quite a bit over the next few days.
  7. Depends where you live. Lots of spots are muddy.
  8. Remember when everyone was worried about mud lol. Might be the most overrated worry come spring time. Its literally muddy for like 3 days and that's it. Unless you live in a field of dirt
  9. Frost Advisory hoisted for tonight/tomorrow morning.
  10. correct!! on the way up to the schilthorn...
  11. Today
  12. 29 in the am, probably last 20's until November.
  13. I estimated 17" from that blizzard at our back settlement site in Fort Kent. Gusts approaching 60 made any measurements a guess. Despite highs of 17 and 24 on April 7 and 8, the depth at the stake fell from 27" to 25", with mounds 5-6 feet deep a few yards away on both sides. We had a black Chevette then, and though it was a small car, we still were impressed that only a palm-size spot was visible after the storm.
  14. We usually get clouds when it’s cold, but this cold shot has brought some quality sun. Maybe the generally useless northern stream waves are getting more spaced out than the prior 6 months.
  15. Nearing first mow here. A few days earlier than typical.
  16. Tonight will likely be the last 32F or below for many of us till next season...quite sad indeed. 45F @ 1:45pm
  17. Please yes. We're due for a regional flooding event, tropical event, and derecho. We're also due to a legit tornado outbreak. Pass. I'll take 105/75 with full sun.
  18. More reliance on interpretive automation technologies.
  19. As of noon on 4/8, snow pile along the river in Columbia is down to approximately 8" or so. This is the remnants from the January storm. In the weeks that followed it was piled over 20' high. That is the only snow that I know of in my general driving area. LCBC Church in Manheim used to have enormous piles years ago but I haven't been by there in a long time. Gotta give a shoutout to Camelback Ski Resort in Tannersville. Not only are they still open, they actually made snow last night! They've already announced that they're extending their ski season into May this year. Should be interesting next week with the onset of VERY warm weather. Here's a look - the base looks really good for this time of year: https://www.camelbackresort.com/resort-information/live-cameras
