  1. Past hour
  2. We are absolutely buried in knotweed all along the West Branch up here. I don’t notice it in any of the larger feeders or flashier drainages like Notchbrook or Sterling Valley. It’s the West Branch here that flows through a lot of agriculture acres, golf course, draining fert and manure along the way in the larger valley (relative size around here).
  3. I’m up in vt and it was in the upper 90’s this afternoon. Glad I’m not running the ac at home.
  4. 84 at MSP. Storms missing to the south. Probably should just post in the July thread.
  5. 1982 is actually the only super El Niño to average barely -WPO DJFM (-.17)....probably largely why it's the only one in which my area pulled off normal snowfall. December was very strongly +, then January was about neutral before the bottom dropped out. Good Analog IMO. 1982 1.42 1983 -0.05 -0.89 -1.14
  6. Yeah, it's just a blank ASOS screen with the phrase No Carrier over and over lol
  7. Why would you measure anomalies from decades ago with present day climo? I use the appropriate climo period for all of my analogs...H5 and temps.
  8. I was at a Phillies game one day during a heatwave there. Absolute torrid hell.
  9. I have already said I think it will be colder than 2015-2016, just not cold.
  10. Actually the Park was a decent representation of NYC today. Same 93 at LGA, and several degrees warmer than JFK, as you would expect with a south wind most of the day. That intense upper 90s heat was more in NJ and west of the Hudson in general. Or a good distance north of NYC in the Hudson Valley. Did achieve 100+ heat indexes though with mid 70s dew points.
  11. Falls lake, after the two watering days, has resumed its steep fall that was stabilized for about a week due to rain
  12. We've only managed to hit 90, 91, 90 the last three days, so pretty tame.
  13. It was loud and flashy when it rolled through here. Some pretty heavy rain too.
  14. Toronto hit 97 as well with a dew of 77. 113F with the heat index
  15. Won’t be surprised if my low is above 85 the next two days.
  16. Had about a 3 hr period here where winds went onshore, temp dropped from 97 to 90 then back up to 97 as winds shifted back offshore . Currently 90°.
  17. Today's Highs EWR: 99 New Brnswck: 98 BLM: 97 PHL: 97 TEB: 96 TTN: 95 ACY: 93 NYC: 93 LGA: 93 JFK: 87 ISP: 84
  18. In Littleton, NH tonight. Looks like some storms moving in shortly Sandwich still looks steined
  19. Yes it did. It was a very impressive start to the heatwave there.
  20. some years ago, during a very warm summer, JFK recorded a dewpoint of 84F with a wind right off the ocean (the ocean was super warm). If you're by the water, you can get there.
  21. honestly they'll probably do it even with the river wind. If we get more of a western component then you're probably looking at a run at the all-time record.
