Summer FTW. The first cut is the deepest. First mowing of season . Close to ecstasy for me .
-
Definitely a somewhat mild weekend south and east, and looks mostly dry. Barely a half inch of precip through Tuesday AM on most models, here..before it all slides east.
-
Just look for the sand dunes and cactii.

Stayed in it and finished the full mow of my house and the neighbors with this bearing down. Worst of this missed here to the west as this is riding up through Cambria and Clearfield with yet another tornado warning in Clearfield. Likely to cause more issues there I’m sure for the many folks in and around there that still don’t have power from Tuesday.

Meh. We’ve gotten 5” in a few hours. This is nothing. Can’t wait for it to be over

Tomorrow and Saturday will be unseasonably warm with tomorrow being the wwarmer of the two days. Highs tomorrow will likely reah the lower 80s in New York City and mid 80s in the warmest spots. It will turn somewhat cooler on Sunday. A wet pattern is likely Sunday through Wednesday. A significant rainfall is possible, but there remain large differences among the computer models. The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was -0.3°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was 0.0°C for the week centered around April 23. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged +0.82°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged -0.05°C. Neutral ENSO conditions will likely continue through at least early summer. Early indications are that summer 2025 will be warmer than normal in the New York City and Philadelphia areas. The potential exists for a much warmer than normal summer (more than 1° above normal). The SOI was -4.19 today. The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was +1.598 today.

I think I managed to locate Stephens City on that map.

Couldn’t get Ma Nature to do it in the winter, maybe she’ll do it now lol.

The local newspaper showing some love and throwing some shade too, ha, for the scientific approach to snowfall observations. To be fair it’s not scientific… it’s just actually measuring the snow in the same spot and not deviating from that.
-
I did it every year for a 6 year stretch from '07 to '12. '09 was the worst, I believe we actually had a coastal storm the day of the tour. I vowed to never ride it again if the forecast called for rain.

There was pretty decent mlcape also and a more sheard environment out that way as usual. There has been a slight increase in sb and ml cape over the last three hours just to the south and west of the harrisburg area but Unfortunately radar trends are a little disappointing atp for rain or storms in the harrisburg area, but there's still plenty of time for things to happen . -

I just got done mowing as well. Love the greenery this time of year. I had to get a mow in because we’re heading up to the Poconos with the kids tomorrow and who knows when they’ll be an opportunity to mow next week. -
