Spring/Summer 2026 Pattern Discussion Thread
Jed33 replied to Carvers Gap's topic in Tennessee Valley
Very heavy rain training over my location this morning, although I am kind of on the southern end of it. Currently at about 1.10in for the day and still pouring. It comes and goes in very heavy bands but just keeps training over me. Looks like the band may be lifting north ever so slightly for the moment, so it may come to an end soon for now. Looks like as the front pushes south later, it may push the whole thing back south later on. Hopefully the areas that have been the driest can get in the band at some time today or tomorrow. -
Havent said this in a couple of years but "no more rain please" Soggy here after 3 events of 3 inches or more each.

Yes, this is confirming that the tropics are 100% in El Nino mode, but I await more evidence that the mid latitudes are. -
Yeah I saw that. Just not sure if it makes it here but you are in a much better position.

Surprised no more rain after the main event but still managed 1.91" i suspect it was a bit more since my rain gage was basically overwhelmed for a time

There's a line building just north of me this morning. Looks like it's slowly sinking just south of due east. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk

We will see but it looks like today won't be a washout like once thought. A beautiful morning but humid. Looks like tomorrow and the weekend will be a better chance of rainfall.
