  1. Past hour
  2. Steined again with weakening rain overhead and downpours in all directions.
  3. Sun out here, turning into a decent late afternoon
  4. We’re in the lime green stage too. Hopefully the fruit trees get a little sun before they’re done blooming. At least the whistlepig is having fun in the rain.
  5. I do appreciate the late spring/early summer look. Refreshing.
  6. Well said, and I largely agree with everything you’re saying. The forecast have been increasingly inaccurate over time. Like you said, it is a very broad type of forecast. And we are in this specific area of the valley in a very interesting micro climate. Overall, we get a boatload of rain on a yearly basis. We are either getting flooded out, or we go into dry spells as we have recently. Today, even small components of the forecast were very inaccurate. We kept the stable east wind flow right up until about 3 PM, which continued to work it’s magic to keep us very dry. I just finished work and I’m coming home soon, but I’ve been following the radar as much as I could this afternoon and I’m not sure we got more than a 10th of an inch at home. .
  7. nothing but sprinkles here today in Macungie. Missed everything. Total four day is .46 in---- Storms to the west and east and we got the 4-10 split. Well better luck next time. When are we ever going to have a decent NW to SE squall line come through? Everything is hit and miss in our region I literally cannot remember when a squall line preceded a cold front as so many squall lines have went ---poof ---before hitting the Blue Mts.
  8. been learning metpy, and made this plot layering hrrr fh0 data for surface temps, pressure, and composite reflectivity. interesting how warm it is in minnesota especially, compared to literally anywhere farther south
  9. 0.11 inches of rain the past few days. Yup, that’s it.
  10. .62" yesterday and 4 day total of 1.97". That's .003" shy of what I got for all of April.
  11. I see DIT was confused by my statement and I wasn’t trying to undermine the deep summer claim… vegetation just looks different as it gets going. That light green is always an awesome time IMO… fresh. Not the deeper, dark green of a July forest. Just different variations throughout the warm season. Sometimes I think we use the deep summer phrase when we really mean “warm season.”
  12. I paid for that one...right on cue an isolated 15 minute boom boom over Belle Mead NJ
  13. looks like it starts brightening right on the back edge of this final band... probably associated with the main front... highly inverted system coming in as a cut-off as it does. Tomorrow will be 73 easy in this thermal profile if we get sun. In fact, I could see TCU erupting in that "dry" slot.
  14. "BY EARLY NEXT WEEK THERE IS GREATER SPREAD IN GUIDANCE REGARDING WHERE THAT UPPER LOW WILL END UP. " LOT Forecasters:
  15. Same, got smoked by rain early morning... Gusty winds now at 5:00 p.m.
  16. NE PA getting pounded by severe
  17. Today
  18. Yup some nice cells. Told me friend who lives in NW NJ yesterday they could see an upgrade to slight today with some tornado potential.
  19. 3 bands of showers and nothing measurable IMBY
  20. Yeah they're not gypsies. There were no eggs around. Winter months perhaps.
  21. .05 today lol
  22. Just a beautiful day here. Give me this on repeat 8 out of 10 days with some rain the other 2, for the entire summer.
