  1. Past hour
  2. Orioles still struggling to score more than a couple runs, even against the worst team in the baseball. If they lose this game that Cowser robbery the other night doesn't mean shit. Not sure how they are going to win important series with the better competition going forward.
  3. Honda clearing on auto thermometer accuracy, no surprise there
  4. Cue the snarky data centers comments on Jay’s Wintry Mix page
  5. The way it completely sidestepped you and IAD was very Stephens City.
  6. It will be interesting to see how the negative PDO interacts with the east based nino. Historically east based isn’t good for us, especially if the PDO is positive because too strong of a GOA low would flood the continent with mild air cutting off any polar flow. How will the negative PDO interacts with that is the big question. GOA low still amplified with a stronger jet further north? Or weaker and further west low that allows polar air to move south? I think we’re in uncharted territory and the analogs can only do so much here.
  7. Couldn’t you say that about every tropical system though? And the brown ocean effect here was what supposedly kept the circulation intact, enhanced the rain that this speaks to. So this is saying the storm caused the brown ocean effect but how was it able to sustain long enough for that to happen? Also, surface temps (and what the rain water temp would be) during the heaviest rainfall were in the mid to upper 70’s, below what would be sufficient for tropical processes. This to me is lazy. There are other processes here
  8. Tor warning too. They likely issued it for the dangerous winds as I doubt there is notable rotation or any form for concern from the MCS. Now its caught up with another mcs moving slow over Baden. The blowoff from that immense MCS is causing a blob of light to mod rain that will reach me shortly as its darkening. This explosive convection is gnarly.
  9. CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR AUGUST 2026. Records began in 1973. The average temperature was 75.9 degrees which is 2.2 degrees above the 54 year average. The highest temperature was 95 degrees set on the 7th, the lowest temperature was 60 degrees set on the 29th. Precipitation totaled 7.02″ which war the 8th wettest since my records began. CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS OF 2026 The average temperature was 75.4 degrees which was 2.4 degree above normal and was the 9th warmest summer. Precipitation totaled 19.31″ and was the 6th wettest since my records began.
  10. Real feels across the area range from 95-102F. I love September heat - NOT. The Euro teases us with a backdoor cold front d9. Many operationals have had it off/on, and about 1/3 of ensemble members have it... El Nino behaving like a La Nina.
  11. Official Ford temperature while stuck in traffic downtown
  12. @weatherwiz those are some monster velocities in Canada on that TOR warned storm.
  13. Sheer vectors and storm motions appear to all generally be in the same direction, so that should help keep any tornado threat somewhat low. Especially down our way.
  14. And a Severe Thunderstorm Watch just issued S and SE of there to the Mason Dixon line until midnight
  15. This is a 'red' warning for extreme stuff. That MCS is hauling, to give an idea how fast it was, it was near Bay City MI at 3pm now its near London ON just 2hr later!! I wish I was near Grand Bend to see that baddie come ashore, I'm sure the pics will be flowing shortly from there. I'm liking the EC radar now with its layers and detail, but its first wem (blemish) came to light just now when I had the radar and details loaded, but then the layer vanished and just gave me a message stating 'The radar layers are currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later.' - Well I had them til you took them away; its stored in my RAM genius!
  16. Crisp fall days happen usually in late September, early October. It can get hot in September, it's still Summer. Some days in the 80's and low 90's are typical early in the month
  17. 0.65" The CAMs mostly looked like shit for here, so quite surprised with the rain. Nothing severe.
  18. Thunderstorms starting to initiate in Northwestern pennsylvania in an environment with over 5000jkg+ available in the area that they are initiating in .
