First Winter Storm to kickoff 2025-26 Winter season
ORH_wxman replied to Baroclinic Zone's topic in New England
Nasty forecast here…if gradient is closer to 128, then we rip here. If it’s more like just outside of 495, we’re in trouble. I think ORH to Ray’s area is in good shape. -
0.32” in Syosset & 0.24” in Muttontown for this rain event.

Writing was on the wall with this for days. Gonna be tough to get much this time of year with srly flow ahead of a low. -
We got 125 inches of snow one year on the Dgez.
-
Nothing will beat the run of the Dgex in January, 2010 that showed 44" around BWI. Not because it was so bad as one would think, but because it was right thanks to the first 14 days of February!

Here comes the cold front through western Maryland. Bittinger has NW20 G28. It's 29° with a wind chill of 16°!
-
RMNP Glacier parking lot now has more snow than my house.

Ha ha...never left...I am obsessed with the weather. Just not as smart as u guys. I am an enthusiast!!!! I have actually been a member of this board since the early 2000's...but I could never recover that account -
It's the modern day version of the Dgez model from back in the day. Basically a 4 day extension of the Nam. Imagine how fun those runs were....

This is a very different answer for your area of VA vs most of the NC foothills. Showing a bit more snow for you. Model runs later tonight should be interesting to see if the trends hold.

Not really worried here (a bit annoyed is all...)... but we have all felt your unease countless times. -
You do, or "don't" expect Monday nights to trend down???

You’re fine up there. Nothing at all to worry about except if Ineedsnow is safe at Market Basket. Not the same here -

Yep. Shunted a bunch of qpf SE -
24hr snowfall ending 144hrs on the Eps looked like this, keeping in mind how stingy the Eps can be on individual threats.

Occasional Thoughts on Climate Change
wokeupthisam replied to donsutherland1's topic in Climate Change
it's worth noting that none of the explicit and implicit benefits of fossil fuel use to societies, not to mention the variances of those among countries with greatly differing economies, are computed in order to arrive at a true estimate of the overall picture. Ignoring that entire side of the market equation is illegitimate. -
Im assuming its still more icy than snow though? Or is their some light accumulations?

Hopefully it's not coming. I hate reading those posts after the models yank out the rug. -
Was on the beach yesterday and on the slopes today. Came back to some great skiing!
