does seem like NW DC (west of the park), N Arlington, western Fairfax are on the eastern edge of the decent rates.

Latest HRRR has it peak right over DC. I’m now rooting for more west. But I really think arl/falls church nails it

Lowest visibility of the day now with small wind whipped flakes. Almost feels like an actual snowstorm out there right now. Starting to cover paved surfaces now.

Yeah, unless something suddenly changes, you can already see the pivot hitting a wall and just slightly edging east toward the coast.

Plow trucks just made first passes in the development.  As they will try and stay ahead. Residents were told to keep vehicles off the street.

Went inside around 3:45 and came back out just now and already had to brush the car off...was changing over when I went in, heavy wet flakes now. Not sure if this will he the heaviest rates but it is nice. I think I need to turn the radar off and just look, lol

Yup. You can definitely see that inverted trough trying to kick up. Looks like somewhere between MD 97 and I-81.

Look at what is happening on radar out near Hagerstown. It’s not about the low cranking. It’s the positioning of it and the flow of moisture. It’s still moving toward places like Philly. Even if you look at that nice band on the bay, it’s basically stopped any westward movement, and is probably going to stall for a bit and then start pushing east.
