Waves of banding keeps coming into the area. The bands are also slowing down.

Might go out around 1 AM like I did during the Boxing Day blizzard for old time's sake.

Just amazing

this is a text book snowstorm to end a wonderful winter

enjoy everyone! We know how hard this is to come by lately

Well you definitely have the right account name if you're going to have a thread named after you.  If your name was like, for example, that guy @SleetStormNJ, this could have turned out very differently.

That 01z HRRR run shows a lot less QPF for western NJ and EPA than modeling I saw a day or two ago. I hope it's wrong but radar returns are indeed having difficulty pushing west into PA.

Unfortunately this seems very similar to boxing day, I believe that's where the sharp cutoff was then too. Seems if anything the cutoff is more west vs east than even SE vs NW.

Forget any model run, where that western death band makes it determines an awesome event vs pedestrian. Radar watching time.

Been dealing with a good deal of subsidence in western Middlesex County. Strong bands collapse before getting here
