RGEM wants nothing to do with this. Shame it's not on board.

Eh, it has a tiny dusting but it’s been going the wrong direction the last few runs in how much precip makes it over the Apps

Get this within the NAM’s wheelhouse at hour 3, and this place will explode.

Get out of the city and head out here to the lowlands. I'll get you out in nature. I've got some amazing cold cured rosin I made, some cookies, flower, hash, vape. Whatever your fancy. Sorry for banter but I had to offer lol. LFG!

Hmm. Bf would smoke you out of house and home.  I’m more casual.  Might have to take you up on this at some point.

You boyfriend won't be able to find his umbrella after leaving here lol. I'll throw down 500mg and smoke him out lol. That would be great. I'm available whenever until March.

1126 AM EST Wed Feb 4 2026

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations around 6
inches possible with locally higher totals along western favored
ridges (such as Backbone Mountain, Piney Mountain, Keysers Ridge,
and North Fork Mountains). Winds could gust as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...In Maryland, Eastern Garrett and Western Garrett Counties.
In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

* WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday morning. The heaviest
snow is expected Friday afternoon through Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are possible and may make travel
treacherous and potentially life-threatening on I-68/US-40 west of
Frostburg, MD, US-219 from the PA/MD Line south to WV Line, US-48
west of Moorefield, WV, and US-33/WV-28 west of Franklin, WV. The
strong winds may down power lines and could cause sporadic power
  outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect roads to become impassable especially
those in open areas due to blowing and drifting snow Friday night
through Saturday. Wind chills will fall into the single digits to
below zero Friday night with values as low as 20 to 30 below zero
late Saturday afternoon. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur in
these conditions in less than 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will
keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to
reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a
hat will keep you from losing your body heat.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Make sure your car is winterized and in good
working order.

If anyone wants to come out, @MillvilleWx and I are going to do the local chase thing...and I got room in my truck for others. Heading to Keyser's Ridge and probably on to Davis and a few spots in between. Waterfalls are completely frozen and you could build a house on Deep Creek the ice is so solid. Great pics if nothing else. Should be an intense few hours during the peak of this thing as well.

I'm excited to see what the Bittinger and Frostburg mesonet stations report this weekend. Bittinger hit a new network record low of -15° with this last cold wave. Maybe we break it?

I was surprised that I got down to -16.8 last weekend...usually Bittinger does a little better than I do. Tell folks you need to do some serious QA for the mesonet sites and come out with us :snowing:
