I'm starting to think this glacier in my backyard could be an issue this summer. It's been through a beating of snow eating fog, rain, nuking sun angle and still holding strong.

This is the Cal Ripken of snow cover. It’s gonna take a day off on its own terms.

I know  It's been awesome. It's been back to our regular humid, mild, couldy weather, but with a snowpack acting like it's susposed to be here until flowers come up.

I will say though that to my surprise one of the basketball courts near me is now 99% dry…which was actually surprising, though it does get some good sun (when there’s sun). Fog eating snow might actually be a thing. Really won’t be much left of this snowpack by next weekend.

Lot of snow melt today.

Tried to hike around the mountains south of Shenandoah and hit Crabtree falls. Unfortunately, it was located on the north slope which still had copious wet, slippery, and annoying sleet. I got .3 miles in before deciding it wasn't worth it. Instead I got some pictures of the country around which was a decent consolation prize.
