Those totals seem a bit low to me given New Bern was in the double digits last night. Have these been updated? There’s 15-20” reports coming from the areas near and south of Jacksonville.

That was at 7 am according to channel 12. Areas around New Bern could have easily gotten more. I am pretty sure I did. But no way to accurately measure it.

Well looks like this was a score and monster and big hit for almost everyone! We set new records in GA, SC, and a lot of NC! This was a forum wide storm with so many winners and some very high totals! Congrats everyone and hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did and then some! What a long week of tracking! I need a break after the last 3 weeks. January has been brutally cold and absolutely wild and wintry all over! February looks to start calm and mild and by mid February looks like there could easily be another threat or two until the end of the month. But right now, I need to take a break from models and just breathe lol I’m sure yall do too! It’s been a great one and I enjoyed tracking with all of y’all and hope you had just as much fun! Go enjoy the snow, new records, and time with the family! Remember, the little moments are what makes life worth living every single day and don’t take it for granted! God bless to everyone in here and until next time, goodbye!

Are they actually trained spotters or just public?

MHX office just reported 15” snow depth. With all of the blowing/compaction/etc, that’s probably pushing 18” in total snowfall.

As light and powdery this snow is I don't believe there has been any compaction. 15" I believe cause it was still snowing hard down there at 7 am.

So the euro performed the worse out of all models. Showed 3-5 inches here ended up with 14.75.

The NAM found the band first here so its the winner

Overall for the entire forum, the CMC and GFS seemed to remain the most consistent and verify the best.  If I have time, I will try and go back and compare the globals from Monday to Friday.

A friend of mine in Peletier, NC measured 20 inches.

Eyewall, where can we find qpf amount from the storm?  I’m not buying my RadarScope app.

im a 12min south of your buddy and 20” is very achievable from this storm. That is, if you can find a non wind blown spot to measure. This was the best I could do in EI, fwiw

100% and during one of the strongest bands (of many, ~2”/hr) it was probably 75% sleet. Actually, I bet my ratio was closer to 10:1 in Emerald Isle

I didn't measure my total here in the Crowders area of Gaston County. But just eyeballing the flat stool I have out in the open in my driveway, I'd say there was about 7-8 inches on it. Given there was probably some compression, I'd say one of the final total graphics I saw that said Gastonia got 11 inches is also probably accurate for my area south of the center city as well, give or take an inch. It's beautiful, though. So happy to see the board win all around for the most part.
