The mid month SSW could def make March interesting. But there’s never any guarantee that happens. 
 

It does look like the WPO tries to reload after mid month. The Bering/AK vortex though will be stuck with us at least for a week, and perhaps a bit longer. The NAO will try to offset that some but it is still going to be a much milder pattern than we’ve seen.

That explains it. TBH I've been trying to avoid looking at the temp/dewpoint because it just makes it worse. Not looking forward to this upcoming weekend. I might watch the SB from the inside of a fire place

Made it to 30 here…now back to 29..so the sub freezing highs continue. Maybe tomorrow we can break it.   30 felt nice though.  A nice relief.

Snow is holding tough…Arctic dews will do that. Got to 30 here.

A sun baked 32.6 on my thermo so not maybe the most accurate, but felt nice. I will say the wafts of wind felt warmer vs when it went calm. Snowpack is cold.

I always get a laugh when someone posts a tweet about the place in like October because it’s laughably colder than everywhere else.

That road doesn't usually see any sun until like later March or April lol. Went out yesterday and was glad the roads that do get sun were in pretty great shape.

Count me in for the euro op look. This stretch has been great for lake ice but not snow. The big bay on Sebago is making legit ice for the first time in over a decade. Now lets relax the temps and get some snow where it wants to snow in peak climo, NNE

This was the post that did it for me. He has an unshielded max/min thermometer just sitting out in the middle of the tree farm. I mean of course it’s going to lose more heat at night.
