Can’t understand why the 12z gfs have central Jersey 18-21 inch range

Noticeably heavier snow now and the wind has pick up significantly blowing it around, looking more blizzardlike

Agreed, we're almost halfway there already and we're going to really thump for the next 3-4 hours at minimum with 1-2" rates. Most of us will likely end up with a foot at this rate.

Because it has!. Snowing at 9/10 degrees rn is something most of us haven't experienced in nyc EVER!. I've blown past 5 approaching 6 inches already. 12 to 14 looking likely up here.

In NW Bronx now and I think we got hit with an early band that give us a 1-1.5" head start. I feel like I'm crazy compared to other reports in the city but i'm measuring 6.2 - 6.5" in at least 8 flat locations.

Im over 5” in Whitestone. Ratios are super high.

Ratios must be really good here, because other than for a short time between 7:45 and 8:15 this morning it really hasn't looked like much.  Yet an average of four measurements has me at 3.75."

Heavier snows now.  Approaching 6"  I haven't moved off of 7 degrees all morning.  Crazy to see this much snow at these temperatures.
